Life’s success is possible and achieved every day by a large number of people across the world; it’s just that, for most, its concept remains very individual and its way a straight path to it is rarely encountered. The very question of success is often raised in moments of disbelief, jealousy, and fatigue. Still history psychology, and daily life provide evidence that meaningful accomplishment is within everybody’s reach who sets on a path of clarity and steadfastness.
Success, when one comes to think about it, is not about wealth, status, or fame only. For some, it is financial freedom or professional appreciation; others measure it with healthy relationships, personal growth, and community contributions or feeling a reason to get up and contentness. As the definitions range so widely, the opportunity to achieve success not only is it not limited, and actually widens. What is considered small by one person, may mean great satisfaction or even the greatest happiness for another. This individuality is what allows for the freedom: people are no longer pressured to go after the standards of someone else and instead they can be inspired to set up their own.
Real situations corroborate the matter. Those who came across quite challenging situations were able to not only survive but also create successful enterprises, master certain arts, raise happy and healthy family kids, or produce a work of art that is immortal. The findings of psychological research reveal that when people make a conscious effort, keep fighting back, and change the way they perceive things, their chances of accomplishing their goals are higher. In fact, various obstacles – from lack of money, social discrimination, illness, or merely being on the losing side of a gamble – can be very real and very painful; they though do not make it impossible to succeed. What they do is raise the cost of the journey and they become requirements to be as resourceful as possible in getting one’s ends. Later in life, many a winner who is successful recounts the way how hardships had actually brought out their focus and the qualities that they didn’t know that they had before.
That said, honesty demands limits be acknowledged. Not every person can achieve everything they dream of at any time through their whole life. Things like the existence of structural issues, inequalities in the availability of education and capital, and pure randomness, all are major factors in the shaping of one’s success or failure. Because of this, rather than a guaranteed, almost automatic reward after hard work, success is something which can happen, but not necessarily will if a lot of things are not right at all. On this, perhaps it is better to focus more of the energies on the things which are under a person’s control: developing skills, taking regular and consistent steps forward, creating and nurturing relationships, and being resilient to setbacks and not being discouraged by failures. Each of these will Really improve the chance of succeeding.
Ultimately yet whether or not a person can succeed hinges upon a very practical fact: the human capacity for setting a goal, reflecting and learning from our mistakes, and being able to modify our behavior and keep pursuing what we have decided to pursue. Success is just a form of progress toward our self-determined goals and not perfection or the kind of approval that most people agree with. It’s quite likely, when you take those factors into account, success becomes something that is pretty common, although not universally so, to achieve. So maybe instead of asking what are the chances I can win my life? the individual might wonder more about what are the things that I want to achieve?
