The Korean electronics giant has confirmed the launch date of its latest budget-friendly addition to the Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A05s. The phone is said to succeed the Galaxy A04s and offer an improved camera, display, and robust performance at an affordable price.

In a teaser poster the company shares, the Galaxy A05s is seen sporting a waterdrop notch, thick chin, and vertically stacked three cameras on the back. The power button on the phone’s right side is expected to double up as a fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is also expected to come with a 13MP selfie camera.

The device is reportedly expected to have a 6.7-inch FHD+ PLS LCD that offers an immersive viewing experience. Under the hood, it is believed to be powered by a Snapdragon 680 chipset with support for up to 12GB of RAM and expandable storage of up to 1TB. It could run on a custom OneUI 5.1 skin based on Android 13 and promise two primary and four years of security updates. It will likely pack a 5,000mAh battery unit and offer fast charging support.

Aside from the display and camera setup, the Galaxy A05s is also expected to feature stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack. It is said to support a range of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, and 4G VoLTE. The device will also be available in several colors and priced under Rs. 15,000.

The Galaxy A05s is also expected to be a popular choice among consumers looking for an upgrade from their existing smartphones. The phone will be available in a few distinct colors, such as light green, black, and light purple, and is also expected to boast a refined build and finish. The Galaxy A05s will be a welcome addition to the budget-friendly Galaxy A lineup, a well-rounded collection of devices with impressive specifications and an attractive price point.

The Galaxy A05s is expected to be launched in India next Wednesday, October 18. It will be an excellent option for an entry-level smartphone with a high-resolution display and a versatile triple-camera setup. We’ll learn more details about the device as we get closer to its official release.
