According to reports, the musician was moved by Alex’s gesture and decided to pay tribute to her at his London show earlier this month. During his performance, he showed the footage of Alex in a bomb shelter and talked about her “simple, overwhelming one-minute passion against fear, against war.”
Zimmer also took the opportunity to dedicate a track to the Ukrainian pianist, who was caught on camera refusing to flee the bomb warning in Lviv, Ukraine.
